About Peters Construction
Greg Peters grew up in Grand Junction and Golden Colorado. Born in 1953, he has seen the tremendous growth our beautiful state has experienced first hand. The son of a pharmacist and teacher and the oldest of 5 children, greg grew up with a sense of ambition and leadership. "I was the one who gathered up all the neighborhood boys for treehouse and fort building, and amazingly some of them stand today". Greg started working at age 12 mowing lawns, shoveling snow and had a paper route for years. At 18 Greg worked his way through the University of Colorado in Boulder, picking up his journeyman plumbers card in 1978 and a bachelors degree in accounting along the way. From there he worked in local 55 carpenters union on the high rise Amoco building in downtown Denver and became a journeyman carpenter in 1980. Always in construction, Greg has developed proficiency in excavation, foundation wall forming, flatwork, carpentry, plumbing, heating, tilesetting, drywall, roofing, hardwood flooring, painting and mechanics. Fine carpentry and finish work are his greatest achievements. To this day, Greg keeps his hand in one or more of these disciplines on every job. "I had a vision of my life at 50 when I was just a young man and it was this- working on the jobs still and building really big and fancy buildings in the mountains". Darned if he didn’t make it.

Family is the one thing upon which Greg places the most importance. In 1977, Greg met his wife Brenda, an UK national studying in the US. Married in 1978, they moved the family to the Roaring Fork Valley in 1990. Along with being the father of 3 great kids Greg's passions include flying, hiking, horses and traveling.
